I know my backpack is in the lost property RFP 9173 terminal 1 in arrivals in baggage reclaim area in front of belt 11 at Flumicino International Airport. As I was not going back to Rome Airport I was unable to claim the bag personally. Relatives who did return home through that airport the following weekend had a scanned copy of my passport and also a letter attached giving my permission for them to collect the bag for me and bring it home to Australia for me. This was refused by the personnel at the counter as they did not have a copy of my boarding pass because I was not told to give it to them. I feel this was a denial of my human rights of obtaining my property that contained medications I needed to take and also other items eg makeup, cardigan and paperwork. |
