On this Airbus A330-300, the magazine pocket for Seat 2A is uniquely positioned underneath the side console/armrest on the right-hand side, near floor level. It is not on the seatback in front. Because it is a deep, narrow slot tucked into the internal side panel, it is easily missed during a standard visual inspection in a quick turnaround. Given how thin a MacBook Air is, it could easily remain unnoticed until a more thorough deep cleaning.
I have tracked this specific aircraft’s movements (Registration: 9M-MTH) immediately following my flight. Since the laptop was tucked into the seat magazine pocket, I believe the cleaning crew may have overlooked it due to its unique and concealed location.
