Security Check in
My Apple Watch went missing while I was passing through TSA standard security screening at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Texas, USA.
Before screening, I removed my Apple Watch and placed it in the security screening tray with my belongings. The tray passed through the security scanner at the lane furthest to the right.
After completing security screening and collecting my belongings, I discovered that my Apple Watch was missing. I checked my belongings but was unable to locate it.
The last known location of the watch was the TSA security screening area. I did not personally witness anyone taking it, so I cannot confirm exactly what happened. However, given the circumstances, I am concerned that it may have been taken while passing through the security screening process.
The watch’s battery was depleted, preventing me from establishing its current location through Apple’s Find My service.
I am requesting that the incident be investigated and that my claim be assessed under the terms of my insurance policy. I can provide proof of purchase and any available supporting documentation.
Incident location: TSA standard security screening, lane furthest to the right, Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Texas, USA.
The missing item is an Apple Watch with a black dial and a white sports strap, as shown in the attached picture.
I have reported the watch as lost/stolen and enabled Lost Mode, displaying a message requesting that anyone who finds it contact me on my UK mobile number if it is recovered.
The watch was last known to be in the TSA standard security screening area at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), at the lane furthest to the right.
Thank you for your assistance.
