Baggage Claim
Subject: Urgent: Lost Luggage and Staff Mismanagement – No Ticket Numbers Available (Tickets Retained by Staff)
Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Relations Team,
I am writing to file an urgent complaint regarding staff mismanagement, systemic ticket errors, and the complete loss of my baggage during my transit at Istanbul Airport.
Please note that I do not have my physical ticket numbers because your airport staff in Istanbul retained all my boarding passes. However, you can easily pull up my entire history and files using my passport and personal details provided below.
What Happened:
My original booking was from Oslo (OSL) to Damascus (DAM) via Istanbul (IST) on [October 17, 2026].
At Istanbul Airport, my transit ticket barcode failed to scan at the electronic gates. Instead of resolving this system error, your staff kept sending me from one desk to another. Due to this chaotic handling and their wrong assessment of time, I was wrongfully barred from boarding my scheduled flight to Damascus. Under immense stress, your staff forced me to purchase a completely new ticket from Istanbul to Aleppo (ALP).
Before boarding the Aleppo flight, I explicitly asked multiple agents about my checked luggage. Every single agent assured me that my baggage was updated on the system and would arrive in Aleppo. However, upon my arrival in Aleppo, none of my bags arrived. I am now at my final destination, Damascus, with absolutely no belongings.
I demand an urgent trace on my luggage using my name/passport, a full investigation into the staff error at Istanbul Airport, and a full refund for the forced ticket to Aleppo along with compensation.
