I am contacting you regarding my missing ice hockey sticks checked during my trip from Grand Rapids to Brussels under booking reference C235DJ.
At check-in in Grand Rapids, the United employee weighed my hockey sticks while they were placed on top of my hockey bag. I specifically mentioned that in previous flights the hockey sticks were always handled separately as sports equipment, but the employee informed me that this was acceptable.
The employee appeared very nervous and inexperienced, and the entire check-in process took a very long time because the electronic payment system was not functioning correctly.
n addition, I paid almost €500 in extra baggage and sports equipment charges, and now my hockey sticks have completely disappeared.
