When we landed at Heathrow. Before I left the Plane, I put it in trousers pocket
Good Day
My name is ONOJA Favour Obiageli and work at the Nigerian National Assembly, as a Director and Head of Department of the African Parliamentary Organisations, Directorate of Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Protocol.
On the 10th February, I boarded the BA 082 flight from Abuja to Heathrow and arrived safely. Though my final destination is meant to be to Nycity for a United Nations Hearing.
However, during my connection from the British Airways flight from Nigeria to the next flight to New York, I realised at the immigration point that my Nigerian Official Blue passport was missing.
Though, before I embarked on the official trip with some of my colleagues, even if we had valid United State Visas on our Nigerian Green Passports, we were encouraged to still have another United State Visa on our Official Passport, since it’s an official trip; and we did. And fortunately for me, I travelled with the 2 International Passports.
As soon as we landed Heathrow, all I could remember was removing the official passport with the boarding pass from my bag and put it in my pocket. We then moved from there through the escalators, took the shuttle train to the B Gate, for onward connection to the next flight.
It was at that immigration point, I noticed my official passport was not with me anymore. Immediately, I was advised to go back and look for it, which I did but could not find it.
So, in order for me not to loose my next flight to New York, because there wasn’t much time left for me, and since I also have Visa on my Nigerian Green Passport, I had to move on.
The details of my missing Official Blue Passport are:
