Namaste, My name is Saritha Chava we live in USA.Indian Passport missing along with the Passport Cover.My Mother and Father were traveling from Vijayawada to Chicago through Air India,it was not a great planning from our side as we did not realize fathers Passport was expired, came to know from airport staff : so, we paid for dads check in bags and mom continued her journey with two cabin bags and a handbag. She has the Passport at the time of boarding the Delhi Flight from Vijayawada and they said they dont need to see the Passport. So, She kept the Passport inside her handbag and just showed only the boarding pass.After she got down from the flight, the Wheelchair assistant was assisting her and asked for Passport and Boarding Pass as he had to show it to someone I guess, and they could not find her Passport. They checked all the bags and still could not find them. I think they informed the flight staff as well, they looked all over for all three hours at Delhi Airport. It was a very bad experience for my mom as she was already upset about fathers Passport and her passport also missing now. She was very sure it went missing in the flight. They were coming here for a family gathering and a lot of plans and arrangementshave been made.We would greatly appreciate the help if someone help us find her Passport, else we have to go through a very long processas her US Visa also needs to be processed.I am not sure what is the process but lookin at the Security Cameras might help to check and see where and how the Passport is 0missing.Attached the Flight details .ThanksSaritha Chava |
