Inside the aircraft of Flight [Número de vuelo], specifically at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The item belongs to my son, who was traveling on flight AC 2395, which departed from Bogotá at 10:12 AM and landed at YYZ at 17:05. He is currently traveling as part of a school field trip and immediately reported to both the airport staff and his school group leader that the document holder had been left on board the aircraft. Since my son does not carry a cell phone, I placed an Apple AirTag inside the lost document holder to keep track of it. For an extended period of time, the device’s location remained stationary within the airport premises. However, it subsequently moved, and its last known location was recorded at the residential address 33 King St, York, ON M9N 3R7, Canada. This trajectory allows me to infer that the item was wrongfully taken outside of the airport grounds by a flight or ground staff member. According to the Apple Find My network tracking history, the item’s last confirmed location within the airport premises was right after landing, before it was wrongfully moved to a residential address off-airport grounds.
The missing item is a document holder containing critical identification documents for my underage son Nicolás Romero Campos. Inside the holder, we had placed an Apple AirTag to track its location. Thanks to the Apple Find My network, we have irrefutable chronological proof that the item was taken by an airline employee or ground/cleaning staff member from the aircraft, rather than being turned into the Lost and Found department:
At the Airport: For an extended period after our flight landed, the AirTag signaled that the document holder was completely stationary inside the airport premises.
The Displacement: Later on, coincidental with shift changes, the AirTag began moving away from the airport, traveling directly to a residential area.
Current Location: The device tracked directly to a massive residential apartment complex located at 33 King St, York, ON M9N 3R7, Canada.
Current Status: Shortly after arriving at this residential address, the AirTag was disconnected/turned off, which clearly indicates intentional tampering or removal of the battery to prevent further tracking.
This pattern of movement makes it undeniable that a staff member with access to the aircraft or secure areas of the airport took the item for personal possession and carried it to their private residence.
As a passenger´s mother, I expect the highest standards of integrity from Air Canada’s staff. The misappropriation of an item containing a minor’s official documentation is an extremely serious matter.
I request that your Internal Security and Baggage teams launch an immediate investigation into the ground, cleaning, and cabin crews assigned to flight AC2395 on that date. I have saved all time-stamped screenshots of the tracking route as evidence, which clearly show the path from the airport to 33 King St, and I am ready to provide them to your security team or the local authorities.
I look forward to your prompt response and immediate action on this case.
